Zoom Live Webinar with Raelene Ostberg

Event Details

Have you been concerned about children you care for who:

  • Struggle to do a task and then simply give up or whine for help?
  • Exhibit needy and demanding behavior, needing constant validation and attention?
  • Act helpless when asked to complete a task?
  • Is unkind and inconsiderate to others?
  • Refuse to help or complete self-care tasks on their own?

I was surprised to learn one major reason for these behaviors is related to the well-meaning self-esteem movement!  Join us to learn more about this critical topic.

During this special 4-hour session, you will

  • Gain an understanding of one major reason these behaviors are occurring and what you can do to ensure positive outcomes for all
  • Collect strategies to reduce whining and needy behavior and promote kind and thoughtful behavior
  • Explore methods to build problem-solving skills and a confident  "can do" attitude in children of all ages, especially when children struggle to complete a task
  • Learn helpful ways to increase responsibility and gain cooperation with cleanup and incorporate other helpful "jobs" for children in early childhood settings
  • Identify methods to promote a trusting and responsive relationship that will reduce challenging behaviors and send the children you care for on the road to success, today in your care and into adulthood!
  • Receive quality early childhood training hours - All participants who fully complete the course will receive a training hours certificate for 2-training hours for each webinar

You gain 4 training hours!

To receive your training hours for this course, you must fully participate (you may not miss more than 15 minutes of the webinar) and complete a brief survey.
